Prior to joining BERK, Jessie consulted for local governments conducting research and designing materials for community meetings and publicly distributed documents, both as a sole proprietor and with another local consulting firm. Jessie graduated Cum Laude with University and Departmental Honors and a B.S. in Mathematics from Western Washington University, then earned a Master of Urban Design and Planning from the University of Washington with a Certificate of Achievement in Urban Design. While working towards her Master degree, she interned with the City of Bellevue as a Transportation Outreach Coordinator.
Outside BERK
A native Washingtonian, Jessie grew up hiking and camping in the Cascades. She loves being surrounded by greenery, mountains, and water (even the rain). When not exploring the PNW, Jessie enjoys travelling and learning about other cultures. Her favorite vacations include wandering through urban neighborhoods and consuming copious amounts of sushi. Jessie spends her free time in Seattle gardening, coaching CrossFit, chasing after her pup and husband at the dog park, and dreaming about living in Japan.
