ArtFull Tacoma

We were asked by the City of Tacoma to support the development of a five-year Strategic Plan for the Arts. The planning process began with a series of community conversations that included a diverse group of stakeholders and interested parties, including artists and representatives from creative industries, education, non-profit arts and cultural organizations, real estate and tourism industries, and others. The resulting plan, ArtFull Tacoma, builds on Tacoma’s vision for a creative, cohesive community with a flourishing arts and cultural sector. Topics addressed in the plan include the context and purpose for the plan, how and why arts and culture are an integral part of Tacoma’s character, and the specific strategies and initiatives needed to achieve the City’s vision. While at 3 Square Blocks, Marcia Wagoner and Deborah Munkberg led this effort with support from Jessie Hartmann.
